Is the 14th of August really the deadline?
Yes – real talk. You’ve got until 11:59pm on the 14th to get your application in.
When will I find out if I’ve been accepted onto Night School?
We’ll let you know either way by the 31st of August 2022.
Will I get individual feedback on my application?
We won’t be able to give out individual feedback on applications, but we’ll be sending everyone who applies a resource pack full of useful tips about the creative industry.
I’ve never studied anything creative. Is Night School really for me?
Yes. Show us your curiosity to start a creative journey at Night School (whether you’ve studied something creative or not).
Will the course always be IRL?
Yes – the course is structured around eight in-person sessions but there will be virtual check-ins and assistance as/where needed.
What will each session look like?
Each week we’ll focus on a different part of the creative process. From generating ideas, to visual expression, to production and more. The sessions will be a mix of round-table discussions and interactive exercises led by creative industry experts. After the 8 weeks, you’ll develop your own creative project – for showcasing at the Night School Grad Show.
What if I can’t make it one of the weeks?
To get the most out of the Night School experience, we’d love a full class of Night Schoolers for all eight sessions. But, if you know ahead of time that you’re going to miss one, let us know as soon as you can.
I work/study during the day, can I still be part of Night School?
Yes – this is where Night School got its name! Sessions will happen every Wednesday night, after normal working hours (from around 6pm-8pm ish). Don’t worry, we won’t be keeping you up late on a school night.
What is the Night School 2023 Grad Show?
The Night School 2023 Grad show is your time to shine. You’ll have the opportunity to share your creative projects which we’ll help you to develop. You get to mingle with an eclectic audience of fellow Night Schoolers (past and present) industry experts, journalists and recruiters. It will be a great opportunity to network. You never know who could become an important part of your ongoing creative journey!
What happens when Night School ends?
After the 8 weeks of Night School, we’ll link you up with mentors – connecting you to opportunities and people working within the specific creative spaces you want to get into. There is no guarantee of placement or employment, but we’ll stay by your side for those all-important next steps.
